The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) launched a sanitation app Swachh Map on Friday. With this mobile application, citizens of Gurugram can now flag garbage spots by clicking a photo and sending it to the MCG.
The mobile application is available on both iOS and Android and aims at easy and effective waste collection with the help of citizens. The users can upload the app just type ‘Swachh Map’ on their mobile play store.
“The concerned officer of the authority completed their task on time if any laxity found to complete their job, then the complaint will reach the Sanitary Inspector, MCG commissioner and chief minister office (CMO) and a strict action will be taken against the concern officials,” said Deputy Commissioner Gurugram, Vinay Pratap Singh.
The civic authority has employed staff at the back-end who will receive the information immediately and alert concern officials to take action on time. The MCG supervisors of the concerned place will get the time of 24-hours to get that area cleaned. The complainant will also get a notification on the Swachh Map app telling them their complaint has been resolved and the complainant has an authority to give their feedback on whether or not they are satisfied with the action taken.
