The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has decided to launch a detailed survey to determine the violation in building bylaws that has been committed by property owners against the approval of maps.
“A team of engineers has been constituted on zone basis. All 8 zones under which 90 per cent properties are being covered excluding group housing societies are to be screened”, said GDA secretary Ravendra Godbole.
If violation is found to be covered as a compounding offence during the survey, financial penalty will be levied.. If violation is found beyond the limit, the same will be demolished”, Godbole said.
During the preliminary survey conducted in institutional areas, six violations were found in Engineering colleges. Notices have been issued to them and appropriate action would be taken after their replies are received, the GDA Secretary said.
