GDA puts chance to own home on EWS' doorstep

Now peoples from the weaker sections of the society need not to visit the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) to get their dream homes as the civic body has launched a mobile van to help them.

The staff posted with the mobile van will help the applicants from the economically weaker sections (EWS) in filling up their applications.

GDA vice-chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav said on Wednesday that the ICICI bank has provided a van in which a bank employee along with GDA staffer would visit the colonies and jhuggi clusters and tell them how to apply for the houses.

“It is remarkable facility for the poor persons who are unaware of the procedures. Now they are not required to visit the authority office. Now the bank official would help them fill form and the forms can be submitted instantly at the van,” said Yadav.
