DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal has accused that the flesh trade at infamous GB road is being patronised by a Union Minister and a senior leader of a political party. Maliwal alleged that GB road generates around Rs5 crore every day and those behind the business are targeting her.
While addressing the media on Thursday, Maliwal said during the investigations of the shady business of flesh trade at GB Road, the DCW received some clues about the involvement of political leaders of a national party.
“The commission has requested to civic agencies to demolish buildings where the crime is going on,” she said. Minor girls are being traded to run this illegal business,” added Maliwal.
“When the commission has started investigating this angle, a false FIR has been registered against me, it is a political conspiracy as they (Opposition) want to sack me from DCW through l-G’s office,” she added.
“The commission has come to know that minor girls were auctioned and sexually harassed. The business of flesh trading is being run by big traders with the help of politicians and that too in a location which is barely 3kms away from the Parliament,” said Maliwal. I am being asked to stay away from GB road or face the consequences,” she added.
Reacting on Maliwal’s allegations, Delhi BJP General Secretary Rekha Gupta and Mahila Morcha President Kamaljeet Sehrawat said it seems Maliwal is angry since she has been named in an FIR by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), she is resorting to such baseless allegations.
