Patients admitted in the Civil Hospital located in Sector 10, Gurugram will now get free food three times a day. This has been made possible by the contribution of industrialist and social worker Pawan Jindal who alongwith the
Civil Surgeon Dr BK Rajaura and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gurugram Amit Khatri on Saturday launched the kitchen.
This kitchen will be run by the Bharat Vikas Parishad and it will be provided free of cost to the patient for three times of the day according to the appropriate diet.
“This kind of kitchen was being operated at the old civil hospital of Gurugram but now that the facility of the hospital is shabby, this facility has been transferred to this new civil hospital,” Dr Rajaura, said.
“India Development Council is preparing food according to the needs of the patient, for example, if there is a patient of diabetes, then he will get food according to his requirement and pregnant women are given food according to the requirement of their dosage. He said that there are currently about 120 beds in the Civil Hospital of Sector 10 and this institution will provide free food to all the patients”, Dr Rajaura added.
Industrialist, Jindal appreciated this initiative of the Bharat Vikas Parishad and said that providing food to the patients according to their diet is similar to God’s service. He said that other institutions should also take their inspiration and take their social responsibilities.
DC Amit Khatri also expressed similar views and said that this is indeed a very good thing. “It is a good initiative by the Bharat Vikas Parishad and patients are no need to buy food from outside. The good thing of this kitchen that the patient will get sufficient food as per their requirement which will help them to recover fast from there ailment,” Khatri, said.
