Amid lockdown across the district the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has developed a mobile phone app named “Movement Pass” so that the residents of the city can obtain official permission to step out of their homes for essential supplies.
For this, the residents can approach GMDA’s Mobile app where the Movement pass can be applied through online process and with requisite documents and reason and after approval, the Movement Pass will be issued electronically with a QR code.
Also, the copy of the issued pass will be sent to the applicant’s mobile as well as email ID.
According to a data provided by the development authority, till date, nearly 20,604 requests for Movement Pass were received and 6,953 are issued after scrutiny of documents submitted and reasons indicated by the applicants.
Apart from this, the department’s mobile app is also providing information related to the Covid-19 epidemic across the state.
“Mobile App is a useful Integrated one-point Informative solution for citizens of Gurugram to connect with administration, access govt services, make utility payments, has special enablers during Covid-19 virus and Smart Solutions etc. We request the citizens to use it to the maximum,” said Sonal Goel, additional CEO of GMDA.
Goel also informed that the residents of the Gurugram district can avail several facilities related to the coronavirus problem, including Government notifications, information about hospitals, pharmacy, Test Centres and Isolation Centres for COVID-19 patients through this app.
The officials also said that via the App, people can get several other facilities like complaints about water, sewer, meter, drainage, lighting, parking, waterlogging, city bus location and road information etc.
