Four women, including a call centre employee, were assaulted by five persons, who were in an inebriated condition in North-East Delhi’s GTB Enclave area on Sunday evening. Preliminary investigations revealed that an argument surfaced between the two groups over parking issue and the incident occurred around 9.30 pm when the victim along with her mother, aunt and younger sister were parking their car on the main road near the accused shop.

According to the police, three of the miscreants have been identified as Vijender, Pankaj and Yogesh who were in an inebriated state and had asked the victim’s aunt who was on the wheels not to park her car there. But the victim’s aunt requested the accused to allow her to park for 10 minutes as she was leaving after that. However, the accused did not allow her and started abusing them and even made obscene gestures at them. “My sister had gone for her wedding shopping which is scheduled on January 23. They all were sitting in the car when this man shouted at them stating that they cannot park their car here,” the victim’s sister told the police

The victim’s sister claimed that when the victim objected this the accused dragged his sister by her hair and a portion of which has been uprooted. “Soon the father of the accused and his friends joined in and even pushed my mother and aunt. They went on to the extent of slapping my minor sister,” victim’s sister alleged. The victim’s family members also alleged that the police have been inactive regarding the case and they had arrested the accused but they have been let out on bail.

“We are staying locked up at our residence because they had beaten up my father as well and he suffers from paralysis. Police told us they arrested the accused persons but people told us that they are roaming in the locality only,” claimed the sister.
