Apart from killing the man, Chandresh Ram, the accused, in an inebriated state had created ruckus in the area where they misbehaved with the locals. Bhisham Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Crime, said, “We have arrested Sandeep Sehrawat (34), Satish (34), Sanjeev (34) and Sonu (22). In this case, the deceased had objected to the nuisance created by these four men.”

“Satish, brother of gangster Sandeep Kana, killed the elderly man after the former objecting to the criminal drinking with his friends in open, DCP said.

The IGIS team received a tip off that the accused would come to Dwarka sector 13 on the evening of March 28. Following which, the team under ACP Aditya Gautam laid a trap at the aforementioned place and nabbed them.”

The officer said, last year, on December 27, Sandeep and Satish were released from jail in a case pertaining to the Arms Act, after which Sonu and Sanjeev  took them to Baprola where they held a party and consumed alcohol. The four started behaving wildly and also misbehaved with the local residents and thrashed them with baseball bats and sticks in an inebriated state.

“During this, One Chandresh Ram, an aged person, died in the incident and several other people too sustained injuries. In retaliation, the locals protested outside the office of the accsued and set ablaze cars, motorcycle and the office of the accused,” said Singh.

In the aftermath of the incident local residents protested outside accused’s office and vented their ire. While Jaswant and Manjeet Dabas were arrested in the case, the other four persons were absconding. Satish is the brother of gangster Sandeep Kana. Working as a property dealer, Satish was charged under the Arms Act and on the day of the incident, all the others came together to celebrate his release from the jail.
