Follow rules for clean air, Noida builders told

Following reports that the air in Noida and Greater Noida remains clouded with toxic fine dust particles from rampant construction,

Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority Rama Raman in a meeting with prominent construction company’s officials of Noida has directed them to follow National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines effectively.

“We have given clear instructions to builders to cover their construction sites and spray water on stored construction material to avoid blowing of dust particles in open air. All project engineers have been directed to conduct inspection regularly,” the CEO said.

On the other hand, industrialists have denied imposing reshuffled weekly off plan brought by the district administration to reduce vehicular movement on roads as it is not business friendly for them.

District Magistrate NP Singh said, “We have asked company’s representatives to convert vehicles associated with them into CNG soon and promote carpooling among their employees if they are not able to implement weekly off plan.”
