Delhiites on Wednesday woke up to a slightly chilly morning with shallow fog as the minimum temperature dropped to 10.9 degrees Celsius — the lowest for this season. As winters are gradually setting in the national Capital, officials in the MeT department have asked Delhiites to brace for colder days as temperatures are going to fall hereon.
While the minimum temperature was three notches below normal for this time of the season, the sky, however, cleared later in the day. The maximum temperature settled for 27.5 degrees Celsius which was a degree lower than the average for this time of the year. At 8.30 am, humidity level was recorded at 76 per cent.
Meanwhile, Delhi is set to experience colder weather in the coming days as the MeT department has predicted temperatures to fall further. “Delhi along with the northern region saw a delayed winter. But now winters have set in the region. The sky is cleared now, so temperatures will only plummet from now onwards,” said an official in the MeT department.
