Flat buyers, who had booked units in Supertech Ceyane towers in Noida Sector 93-A have decided to move the Supreme Court against the developer in a meeting. They are demanding that they should be accommodated in the same project. They alleged that the builder is intended to cancel their bookings to sell the flats on higher rates in future.
Blaming Supertech and Noida Authority for the ongoing crisis, angry buyers said that they have decided to go to court for avoiding demolition and if required they make both developer and authority as party in the case also. The buyers, who have invested their hard-earned money and waiting for possession of the flats, said that the way authorities are handling the matter is condemnable.
They are busy in protecting their interests instead of looking buyers’ concern. “We invested money due to location of the project but efforts are being made to shift us in Noida Extension or somewhere else. The builder, in complicity with authority officials, are planning to sideline us, they could sell the flats to fresh buyers on higher price, if Supreme Court allows continuation of project,” said Dharmendra Singh, a flat buyer.
Criticising the approach of Emerald Court owners over the entire issue, the investors alleged that earlier they have no objection with the developer as they had received money for construction work of both towers on the open area of Emerald Court Society but later they moved court, which shocked us. “The builder started work in good faith with the people living in Emerald Court. It was the residents who encouraged us to purchase flats in twin towers but later they took U-turn from their previous stand. Even more than one dozen residents have booked flats in these towers,” said Dhirendra Singh, another flat buyer.
The Supertech officials, however, said that they are examining all legal options to avoid demolition of under-construction towers and will move the apex court probably in the next week. “We are in regular touch with the investors and have offered their money back, if they want. As we have got proper permission for the project from Noida Authority, we are sure that we will get stay order from the court,” said an official of Supertech.
