As the Assembly Polls in Delhi draws nearer, the BJP on Wednesday said the first list of 40 probable candidates would be finalised by September 15 and subsequently forwarded to the central leadership for approval.
Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said representation of all communities will be considered while short-listing the candidates. The decision in this regard was taken in the first meeting of BJP’s election committee headed by Delhi BJP election in-charge Nitin Gadkari.
Meanwhile, the party has also included some senior leaders into the election core committee who were earlier left out. These include names of former MlA Vijay Jolly and party leader Pawan Sharma. The party has also constituted a new working group comprising all former party presidents, general secretaries and other senior members.
