Day after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), former Delhi Minister Arvinder Singh lovely said that the BJP’s decision to field  new faces on all the 272 municipal is a historical move.

“Generally no political party takes the risk of replacing established leadership but the BJP has taken this risk for developing new leadership and we appreciate party’s decision,” said lovely, who handled major portfolios in Shiela Dikshit Goverment.

Delhi Pradesh In-charge, Shyam Jaju said that lovely is an established political leader of Delhi and he along with thousands of workers have decided to join BJP. “He will formally participate in the campaign for corporation elections from now,” said Jaju.

leader of Opposition (loP) in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said that due to confused and corrupt leadership, the Congress party is a sinking ship and those leaders and workers who are committed to the service of the nation are now joining BJP to serve the country.

lovely further said that the BJP will get two-third majority in all the three Municipal Corporations in these elections and a new record will be established. “The people of Delhi should not take these civic elections as election to the municipal corporations rather they should take this as an opportunity to free politics from the people supporting anarchist and anti-national elements,” he added.

He also said, “For long I was feeling suffocated because the Congress deviated from its objective of service to the people of the country.” However, for the last few months I have seen that BJP’s Pradesh president Manoj Tiwari is staying in the Jhuggis with the poor people and raising their problems but the Congress Party president is discussing the problems with the rich sections of society in lodhi Garden, then I felt that the Congress party has deviated from its path,” he said further.
