The story of a 10-year-old boy, who was allegedely abducted and then found in Samaypur Badli area of the outer district turned out to be a cooked one, according to police. After Ranjeet wandered away when he was out with his elder sister, she told her parents that two youths on motorcyles abducted him.
Following which on Tuesday morning on the complaint of the family an FIR under section 363 of the IPC was lodged and police swung into action. They launched intensive patrolling and search and the boy was found within two hours in the area.
And it was during the interaction with the boy that police came to know the real story that Ranjeet wasn’t kidnapped but had wandered away when he was with his elder sister.
Fearing being reprimanded by her parents, the girl got nervous and made up the story to be caught up later on, said police.
