In order to resolve traffic problems in Noida, the Noida traffic police on Friday launched a month-long online survey inviting people’s suggestions and feedback to identify traffic issues in the satellite town.
The link to the survey form will be available on Noida Traffic police’s Facebook page and Twitter account.
To fill out the survey, participants need to share their name, email ID and contact number along with traffic issues, grievances or suggestions that they want to be addressed.
Superintendent of police (Traffic), Noida RNP Mishra said, “Many times, we may not be able to notice the traffic issues at different locations in Noida. But as the commuters travel daily on Noida roads, they can act as better judges to identify traffic related problems and provide probable suggestions.
The survey is a step in that direction and is aimed at improving traffic management system in the twin city — Noida and Greater Noida — and to provide smooth traffic flow and enhance road safety.”
Mishra added that the move will help to highlight issues related to traffic signals, foot-over bridges, underpass, parking, speed breaker, wrong lane driving, wrong turn, street light, reverse driving and other issues.
“People will share the location of the problem with a landmark. They can also give suggestions on how to improve the traffic system. The survey will also help us identify problems with traffic signals, faulty signal lights, need for new installations, encroachments and other issues,” Mishra said.
He added that they will conduct this survey for a month and may also continue the same further.
The responses and suggestions would be examined within 15 days and then course of action would be taken to improve it immediately. Police will also talk to the complainant if they need some more information.
