The deceased, identified as Vineeta Prasad, lived with her parents in her house in Sector-27, Noida.
The incident came to light on Monday wee hours. Police said the victim’s mother discovered her daughter hanging from the ceiling fan in another room.
The parents took help from the neighbours and immediately rushed her in Kailash Hospital but doctors declared her brought dead.
“I woke-up early morning and then I spotted bulb lighting from her room. The door was open, and, as I entered inside the room, she was found hanging,” her mother told police.
The body of the victim has been sent for postmortem.
Vineeta had done fashion designer course from Pearl Academy in New Delhi, the police said.
She was doing job as fashion designer in a Mumbai based company but she had quit the job four months later. Her father Ravi Prasad worked for education department and was retired now.
“She had attended two interviews to find a job in fashion industry in Mumbai and Gurgaon last week. She wanted the job but the company where she applied offered her low payment. She was depressed due to this and victim’s family has suspected these reasons which led her to take such step drastic step,” said a senior police official.
