Ex-municipal councillor refutes JNUTA's claim

Published on:

Dr Shobha Vijender, the former municipal councillor, has refuted the Jawaharlal University  Teachers Association (JNUTA)’s claim that the nominated members in the JNU’s gender committee also include a representative from Sampurna, a non-Government organisation run by BJP leader Vijender Gupta’s wife, against which former Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit, has leveled against irregularities in March, 2012.

Dr Shobha further said “I would like to assert that the baseless allegations against Sampurna resurfacing after more than five and half years are motivated by  narrow political considerations of JNUTA and JNU students union”.

Shiela Dikshit had made baseless and false allegations in election mode without any evidence on the eve of MCD elections, with intention to divert attention from allegations made against her with regard to corruption in Common Wealth Games.
