The Delhi Police has arrested the son-in-law of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit for allegedly subjecting his wife to domestic violence.
latika Dikshit, the daughter of the former Chief Minister, lodged a written complaint against her estranged husband Imran at Barakhaba Police station of New Delhi district.
“A Delhi Police team arrested Imran from Bangalore two days back and brought him to Delhi on transit remand," said a senior police official.
The accused Imran and Dikshit's daughter latika had been living separately for the last ten months. They were married some 20 years ago but their relationship soured owing to certain differences. latika had accused that her husband was indulging in physical violence, the official added.
