A day after lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung convened a review meeting of all the departments, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has begun taking proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted water supply in the summer season. The water utility on Thursday uploaded the schedule along with timings of water supply in different zones of Delhi.
“The schedule not only includes the timings but also has the contact numbers of the concerned officials on our website www. delhijalboard.nic.in. It will help consumers get quick redressal of their water or sewerage related issues. This would not only bring in transparency but would also provide convenience to the residents of Delhi,” said Sanjam Chima, Consultant (PR), DJB.
Earlier this year, the water utility had also uploaded the schedule of water tankers on its website for the convenience of its customers. Delhi Jal Board supplies water in the water-deficit areas through around 900 water tankers from 25 water emergency control rooms in different zones in Delhi.Besides, the water utility has also started the process of increasing transparency within the organisation.
“The Board has, proactively, uploaded the list of the Annual Property Returns of its Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ officers on its website. The list contains the details of the officers under the engineering and ministerial groups,” added Chima.
