Elderly woman looted by robbers posing as courier boys

It is straight from a Bollywod flick as two armed robbers posing as courier delivery boys first forced their way in a house in Outer Delhi’s Rohini area and robbed an elderly woman.  The robbers decamped with cash and jewellery worth lakhs before beating the woman who was alone in the house. In order to cock a snook at Delhi Police, the robbers wrote ‘Don is back’ on a wall in one of the rooms of the house with paint. A case has been registered at Rohini South police station.

Police said that the incident took place when Kamla Kataria (58), wife of a businessman Balbir Kataria was alone at her flat located on the second floor of the house in G-Block of Rohini Sector 3. “The two youth reached the flat and rang the doorbell. As Kataria opened the door, they introduced themselves and gained entry into the house. As soon as they got in, they pulled out a pistol and asked Kataria to handover the cash and jewellery,” said a police official. As the woman resisted, they thrashed her and tied her to a chair and ransacked the house.
