An elderly brother sister duo was found dead inside their home in North West Delhi’s Bharat Nagar area. Police said initial investigation suggests that the reason behind the death appears to be natural.
According to Vijayanta Arya, The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North West district, the deceased man has been identified as, 95 year old Kamal khosla, while his sister has been identified as 78 year old Rajkumari.
“Both the siblings were unmarried and were living together in their house in Bharat Nagar. Kamal retired from LIC long back and was paralytic after he met with accident some time back. He was completely dependent on his sister Rajkumari,” said the DCP adding that no foul play has been suspected.
“It is being suspected that Rajkumari could have died first after which Kamal would had been left alone with no one beside him to take care of him. One or both the deaths could be due to illness or heat,” said the police official privy to investigation.
“Prima facie it appears that, the decomposed condition of the bodies suggests that the deaths occurred over the last two days. One of their relatives called the police on Wednesday at around 9:40 am after he found no response from the siblings after which a police team rushed to the spot,” said the police official.
“However exact cause of death will be ascertained after the postmortem reports will come,” the police official added.
