Elderly man dies of heart attack in HC

In a tragic incident, a man lost his life at Delhi High Court on Thursday after he suffered a heart attack while getting an entry pass to attend a case proceeding. After he suffered an attack, the people present did not take him or told him about the dispensary present inside the court premises. Even the PCR which came after some time did not take him there for an immediate relief.

On Thursday morning, 68-year-old litigant Suresh Nayyar reached Delhi High Court to attend a property dispute case trial along with his nephew. While standing in a queue to get an entry pass at Delhi High Court Reception, he suffered an attack. His nephew who was present there, called a PCR van which took 10-15 minutes to reach and took him took him to Ram Manohar lohia hospital where he was declared brought dead.

According to Advocate Ashok Aggrawal, this happened because of lack of awareness about the dispensary available inside the court premises. “The doctors are available inside. None of the staff at the Delhi High Court reception guided them to go inside and get immediate relief. If anything happens to anybody inside the courtroom, the doctor comes running to provide relief. Nothing like that worked out with Nayyar. His pulse was running and he could have been saved,” said Ashok Aggrawal.
