The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to create awareness among people regarding segregation of household waste. The project will focus on household waste segregation and on making waste management self-sustainable. Last year, the civic body had started the similar programme in Trilokpuri. Now, the civic body will spread awareness among 5,000 household in Anand Vihar.
Additional Commissioner in EDMC, Dr Brijesh Singh said that EDMC is committed towards making East Delhi clean and green. He further said that the civic body would provide all possible help for making this initiative successful.
