North Delhi Municipal Corporation has inducted seven Golf cars to provide a free ride to visitors from Shastri Market parking to main Ajmal Khan Market.
A senior corporation official said these cars are environment friendly as it runs on batteries and solar panels.
"Ajmal Khan Road shopping just got even better with 7 golf carts operated by the Market Association running from the Shastri Park lot to the market area shop till you drop- into an open seat in the open air mall which is #AKR! ," North Corporation Commissioner Varsha Joshi tweeted.
Paramjit Singh Rana, Councillor in North Corporation inaugurated the facility. He said that these cars would be maintained by Karol Bagh traders association in supervision of the civic body.
It will be operating from 10 am to 9 pm. The civic body has provided charging points at its parking, he added.
