DVDs carrying truth about Netaji go out of stock at IITF

DVDs containing the secret files related to mysterious death of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose are selling for the first time at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) and till now 450 DVDs have been sold out of 500, according to officials of West Bengal Police (Imperial Branch).

“The response has been overwhelming as 450 DVDs out of the 500 DVDs have been sold. With demand increasing we have asked for more copies. A few months ago, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee had given permission to release the secret files related to Netaji’s death. However, the files are not easily available,” said Deepu Roy, a police official of Kolkata Police (KP).

“Many of us want to know about how Nataji died. From the manual database of visitors here, we have come to know that people in the age group between 50 and 60 are more interested in buying these DVDs. The nine volumes — Files related to Netaji and Family — come for Rs500,” he said.

To educate visitors, officials of the WBP have displayed the secret copy of Netaji’s handwritten documents and investigations reports of the special branch. “Besides Bengalis, people from Haryana, Bihar, Orissa and other north Indian States have bought these DVDs,” said another official. Somya Chatterjee, a visitor, said, “Several questions have been raised by political leaders and people to know about the death of Netaji. I strongly feel that these DVDs will come handy to understand what really happened.”
