DUSU election: NSUI releases manifesto
Published on:

After CYSS, Congress youth-wing National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) released its manifesto on Monday which looks more like new wine in old bottle as issues like “security and safety for females”, “student representative in Governing Body” and “North East Students Cell” raised previously are now repeated in it.

However, the NSUI claimed that it prepared its manifesto by meeting students of different colleges on the campus.

“We went from class to class to ask the students about the changes and issues they want and made them the agenda of our manifesto. This is a student’s and a campus based manifesto. We cannot leave one issue and jump to another so few things need to be pursued again. The NSUI is committed to work towards fulfilling all its promises,” said NSUI president Roji M John.

The NSUI has primarily written the “rollback of Choice Based Credit System” and Right to Accommodation” on top of its agenda.

They have divided South, North and East campus and raised issues pertaining to colleges, including infrastructural problems, hostels, placement, sanitation and transparency.
