In another setback to the former AAP Government, the Delhi University has expressed its unwillingness to allow 85 per cent reservation to students from Delhi during admission in DU colleges.
Delhi University is a Central university and therefore it can be governed under Central university rules of Ministry of Human Resources Development. Sources said that Delhi Government’s proposal is not at all binding on Delhi University. This is a set back for the previous AAP Government which was on a spree to announce populist measures. The AAP had also announced that 85 per cent seats will be reserved to students from Delhi in colleges under Delhi University.
