A 20-year-old Delhi University student allegedly killed herself by jumping off the college building of Zakir Hussain College on Tuesday. A suicide note was recovered from one of her pockets in which did not blame anybody, police said without divulging further details.
Police said that the girl was a second-year BA Honours (Political Science) student.
According to a senior police official, information regarding the incident was received on Monday following which a police team rushed to the spot.
Police said that the girl was found lying in pool of blood and she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
“As per her suicide note, she had not blamed anyone for taking this extreme step,” said the senior police officer.
“The autopsy of the girl was conducted and after post-mortem, the body was handed over to her family members,” said the senior police officer.
