Delhi University is “considering” to extend the date of the registration process for the undergraduate courses till June 22 evening.

Earlier, the last date for registration was June 19 and the first cut-off list was scheduled for June 27. However, if the last date is extended, chances are the first cut-off list would also be delayed by a few days. The university has not taken the decision formally but has said it will “mostly” finalise the extending of dates.

“The university is considering to extend the date of online registration for Undergraduate Courses up to 5:00 pm on June 22. A small work is left to be discussed in a follow up meeting after which the official announcement would be made,” a DU official told The Pioneer.

The total number of registrations so far on DU website has crossed a mark of three lakh against a total number of 60,000 seats.  The total numbers of application forms submitted with complete payments are above two lakh.

While the male applicants are higher than the female applicants by a few hundred numbers, the numbers of unreserved applications are 130505.  For the PwD category, the number of applicants are 983, while for OBC category, 35,422 applicants have registered and for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe category, 33,300.

This is the first time that the university has made its admission process completely online, starting from the registration process to seeking admission in a college after the cut-offs are finally announced.
