DU admission for IB students from July 7 to August 14

Good news for aspirants of city’s International Baccalaureate (IB) schools who want to pursue higher education in Delhi University (DU). The university administration on Monday announced that aspirants can apply from July 7 to August 14 for the upcoming session provided there are vacancies in DU colleges.

There are more than 74 IB schools in India. By considering the massive numbers of students, DU officials have decided to extend the submission of application dates for IB students.

“The results of IB schools are yet to be announced. There are considerations for those aspirants too in the university. If there are vacancies and IB students apply in the given time span (July 7 to August 14), they will get admission,” said DU higher official.

For the session 2015-16, DU has only 54,000 seats for all the undergraduate (UG) courses. However, the number of applicants breached the 1 lakh mark on the fifth day of online submission of application forms.

Aspirants can download the online prospectus to get the information about the courses. They need no longer hotfoot to colleges as the university has set the common eligibility criteria. No college is permissible to apply additional eligibility criteria. The first cutoff list will be released on June 25.
