DTTE kickstarts online admission for 66 trades

Published on:

For the first time, the Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE), has started online admission registration for 66 different trades of Engineering and Non-Engineering courses in Government Industrial Training Institutes for the new admission session 2014. This year the enrolment procedure is made online under the guidance and supervision of Principal Secretary (TTE) RK Verma and Director (TTE) VP Rao.

Interested candidates can acquire information related to all trades or courses and apply online from home only. The online registration admission facility for ITIs would be a big relief for the applicants as they no longer will have to stand in long queues for collecting and depositing the forms, which in turn will also save a lot of time and money. Keeping in pace with the development in Information Technology, the National Informatics Centre has made a user-friendly online admission registration software in a way so that candidates have to face least problems. The admission website is designed and hosted by NIC on the contents provided by DTTE.

A total number of 8,476 seats are available for both male and female candidates in 17 government ITIs in the Capital. These institutions are affiliated with National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) Or State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT). To encourage the female candidates, special provisions are made by exempting tuition fees for such candidates and 30 per cent of preferred seats are kept for them in the coeducational institutions.
