With an aim to let the passengers know about availability and non-availability of seats, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has decided to display the seat availability and non availability position in its buses.
The conductor will be issued two A-4 size placards or boards with information, “Seat Available” and “Seat Not Available” for displaying it through side window glass from the conductor's seat. The seat availability board will be in Green Colour and non-availability board will be in Red Colour, the DTC said in a statement.
“The conductor will display the placard to the passengers waiting for the buses at the bus stop at the time of approaching the bus stop as per the position of seat in the bus at that time,” it said.
