A 10-year-old boy is battling for his life in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi after being nearly drowned in the swimming pool of Modern Mahagun Society apartment in Sector-78 Noida on Wednesday evening.
Noida police detained the manager of the society and questioned him over negligence. He was later released.
Police said the incident took place around 7 pm when Aditya Vardhan (10), along with four other children, was swimming in the poll of the society. His hand got caught inside a pipe which threw water outside from the pool.
Police said that he lost his control and nearly drowned in the pool for a few minutes and drank a lot of water.
