A school bus driver and conductor of a convent school in Hauz Khas area of South Delhi were arrested on charge of molestation.
The accused have been identified as Azghar Ali and Mohammad Shameen. The duo used to force schoolchildren to watch porn clip saved in their mobile phones. The incident came to light on Thursday when one the schoolchildren told her parents about their misconduct. The parents in turn informed the police and a case was registered in Hauz Khas police station.
According to police, Shameen and Ali also threatened students not to inform their parents about their indecent act. Both of them have been arrested.
After showing them porn videos, the accused Shameen (24) and Ali (26) would also have a discussion pertaining to those clips, hence, make them uncomfortable and harassed.
According to the complaint, they also encouraged students to down load such clips from the internet. First the parents brought the matter into the knowledge of the school authority and a formal police complaint was made.
While briefing about the incident, a senior police official said, “After the complaint against the school bus and the driver for immoral act, the accused were arrested and a case has also been registered under 10/12 POCSO. The matter is being investigated. We are interrogating the accused and will also be questioning the parents of other children inside the bus.”
It was also stated that the statements of the other students who would travel in the same bus will also be recorded. The police will also question the school authorities as to why there was no teacher on duty inside the bus, and that it is a lapse on the school’s part, sources said. The arrests were made on late Thursday afternoon and investigation in the case is underway, police said. According to police both the accused belongs to Kotla Mubarakpur area.
