Commuters had to face a harrowing time on Thursday afternoon when the Delhi Metro developed a malfunction in its track circuit on the Yellow line — Jahangirpuri to HUDA City Centre — for about an hour.
Services on the HUDA City Centre to Jahangirpuri route (line 2) were disrupted around 1 pm when the track circuit between Qutub Minar and Saket Metro station developed a snafu and could only be resolved by 1.43 pm, a DMRC spokesperson said.
The glitch left hundreds of passengers stranded on the stations en route as trains were delayed by over 30 minutes and services were severely affected at Green Park Metro station.
