The Delhi Police has solved the case of double murder of the two sisters who were found dead in a drain in Alipur and claimed to have arrested three persons, including the estranged husband of the deceased 25-year-old Rukhsana. The sisters missing since September 19 were murdered by Lucky (34) and his associates, as he was allegedly enraged with his wife for leaving him to live with her parents, police revealed on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East District) Atul Kumar Thakur said, “On September 19, the sisters left home for ISBT Kashmiri Gate but did not return. Her family members lodged a missing report at Seelampuri police station. On September 23 the bodies of the deceased sisters were found from Alipur. The missing report was converted into a criminal case and an FIR under sections 498A, 304B and 302 of the Indian Penal Code was registered.”
“A joint police team of Special staff and Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of North East District were formed. It was found that Lucky was absconding and he was arrested on Wednesday. During interrogation, it was revealed that Lucky, husband of Rukhsana was not happy with her working. He also used to beat and harass her. She left him and was living with her parents in Seelampur since March 2018,” DCP said.
“Lucky conspired with his associates Prem (31) and Shivam (21) to eliminate Rukshana. Pretending to be an employer they called Rukhsana, who went along with her sister Nabila (22) to the location. Shivam posed himself as a driver, while Lucky and Kaake were on a motorcycle at some distance. As per the plan, Shivam took both sisters in that car and offered them sedative laced cold drinks while they were on their way to Burari. At a CNG filling station Lucky and Kaake also entered the car. Nabila was not unconscious till then while Rukshana was almost in unconscious state. When Noori threatened them and tried to raise an alarm, all three accused first strangulated her in the car and thereafter they strangulated Rukshana and dumped their bodies in a drain,” DCP said.
