Searching for clues in the death of a British national, the Delhi Police is conducting door-to-door verification of Nigerian nationals in Bhogal and Jungpura area. Investigations have revealed that Roddick Andrew Raymond, the British national, had come to receive a drug consignment from some Nigerian drug peddlers.

Roddick's body was dumped at Church lane Road in Bhogal area between 8.30 am and 9 am on Sunday last. The role of Nigerians is being investigated as the area has many Nigerians and African nationals. Security guards of the area reportedly told the police that they had not seen the bag in the morning and it was thrown after 8.30 am on Sunday last.

Several police teams were put on the job to identify the suspects and trace their movements too. It appears that Roddick was killed in Bhogal and Jungpura area where he had many friends and used to frequent the areas. He reportedly attended a party in a house in the vicinity of Bhogal and Jungpura of April 25 last.

He died of a suspected drug overdose. His friends, who partied along with him, might have panicked after his death and hid his body in a bag. The body was discovered in a highly decomposed state. Senior officials involved in the investigations say that viscera report will shed light on the cause of death. Drug overdose appears to be cause of his death as there was no any external injury on his body, he added.

Roddick, who had arrived at Nizamuddin railway station on April 25, had travelled in a general compartment. It meant that he was short on cash and also he had checked in a very cheap hotel in Paharganj area. His movements have been verified with the help of Umesh and Manmohan two touts and the two auto-drivers. All the four were grilled for several hours but police failed to elicit any clues for their involvement in the murder.
