Don’t become slave to ‘I’: Governor

Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal on Friday visited Nuapada district to attend the foundation day celebrations in different schools and at the same time to take stock of development in the district.

The Governor first visited Komna where he interacted with the Government officials followed by interaction with the inmates of Swadhar Griha, run by Chetna Mahila Sangathana. Later, the Governor visited Duajhar village of Khariar block to attend the Golden Jubilee celebration of Duajhar Primary School.

Interaction of the Governor with the students of the school was beautiful. The speech was more a dialogue than a speech. He asked a few questions to the children like what is humility, what is truth, love, grace and forgiveness. He encouraged the children to answer and it was very interesting to see the children answering the questions confidently.

The Governor also attended the Golden Jubilee celebration of Tukla High School and Platinum Jubilee celebration of Raja AT High School at Khariar. "I appeal to the teachers, parents and elders not to cut the roots of the children; let them see the water flow, stream cascade, butterfly fly and daffodils play.  Let them love nature," appealed the Governor.

“When we become slaves of the ‘I’ everything is lost. There has to be evolution of the soul and if we want to change the world we have to transform this ‘I’ into ‘we’. I request the teachers to follow these principles in life to build the children," Lal told.
