Domino’s, the pizza giant, has decided to go 100 per cent vegetarian for nine-nights of Navratri festival across 164 outlets of the country.
Not only in Gujarat, Domino’s decided to go vegetarian in Delhi, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh too. Ajay Kaul, Chief Executive Officer, Jubilant FoodWorks limited said, “Navratri is a big festival and it marks the beginning of festivals in India, so we decided to do something to ensure that people are able to enjoy their favourite meals with their families. Out of reverence to their traditional values, customers stop eating non-veg during Navratri. Keeping this in mind, we decided to churn out a completely vegetarian package to ensure they can enjoy their meals without hesitation as we respect their sentiments.”
Manika Shastri, a 21-year-old engineering student was jubilant to hear the good news. “Every year as Navratris comes close we had to stop eating out. It was almost a ritual for us to eat pizza but we resisted during Navratri. Now that we have a customised menu we can have Domino’s pizzas without inhibitions.”
Moreover, customers can now dine-in at these outlets or place an order through mobile application, over phone and online. “We hope that the customised menu will allow the customers to enjoy the festival in its true spirit,” Kaul added. Underlining its undying commitment to offer its consumer greater choice and freedom, Domino’s Pizza has come with a special treat for pizza lovers for the ongoing Navratri season.
