To celebrate the woman passengers on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Delhi Metro on Tuesday announced that they are going to organise a six-day Article and Slogan Writing Competition exclusively for its women commuters from February 28 to March 5.
A senior DMRC official said the topic for the competition is “Share your experience: when you felt Strong, Safe and liberated with Delhi Metro”.
The officer said, “A substantial percentage of Delhi Metro’s commuters comprises women, who form an integral part of the system. The Delhi Metro has always strived to provide a safe, comfortable and hassle-free journey to all its women commuters in the form of reserved seats in each coach and a separate ladies' coach.”
To salute the spirit of all women, the Delhi Metro has organised this Article and Slogan Writing Competition.
All women commuters of Delhi Metro can participate in this contest through our website www.delhimetrorail.com and submit their stories and slogans in English or Hindi by filling up the form on the website. The maximum word limit for the Story is 150 words and for the Slogan is 50 words. Only online entries will be accepted till 5th March 2018 (midnight),” added the official.
The selected entries will be suitably awarded in a function on 8th March 2018 on the occasion of International Women's Day at Delhi Metro's Corporate Office at Metro Bhawan, Fire Brigade lane, Barakhamba Road.
