Attacking the Delhi Government for adopting a pathetic approach in resolving the matter of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari has accused the DJB of being a big centre of corruption and said the public utility is not doing its work properly. He further said the water tanker scam which started during the Sheila Diskhit regime continues even today and even the Chief Minister had admitted to this scam in the Assembly.
“We are also demanding that the Government should issue a White Paper on the activities of the DJB during the last 30 months. A delegation of Delhi BJP leaders will meet the l-G soon on the issue,” he said.
Meanwhile, leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Tuesday urged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to provide financial support to three municipalities in establishing an effective system for segregation of garbage at source. Gupta further said that the East and North Corporation were in deep financial crises and would need extra funds to implement segregation of garbage.
