DJB commissions 3.5 km pipeline to Chirag Delhi

Giving succour to the residents of South Delhi in the peak summer months, Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Sunday commissioned its new 3.5 km peripheral water supply pipeline from Malviya Nagar booster pumping station to Chirag Delhi. Inaugurating the project, DJB vice chairperson Kapil Mishra commended the officers of DJB for their hard work in completing the project successfully in the shortest possible time.

DJB water supply member RS Tyagi said, “DJB is working hard to increase water production and its equitable distribution in the city. The summer action plan has been prepared and is being implemented to provide relief to the people in the critical summer months,” adding, “water conservation, better efficiency and prudent management of water has been the mantra of Delhi Jal Board.” “With this, main water line and a number of service lines will carry water to the colonies, which were earlier not connected with the piped water supply network,” said Tyagi.
