Over a month after State-run National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) had threatened to snap power supply to Reliance-backed BSES over non-payment of dues, BSES Yamuna Power limited (BYPl) and BSES Rajdhani Power limited (BRPl) have agreed to pay the dues by Sept 2016.
NTPC said they have also agreed to maintain outstanding dues limited to 60 days after September-October 2016.
The outstanding dues from these two discoms to NTPC amount to Rs 1,534 crore as on June 14.” Further, in spite of DERC directives, no payment has been released by these two Discoms for APCPl (Jhajjar) amounting to Rs 993 crore as on June 14,” the NTPC added.
last month, NTPC had threatened that if the discoms do not pay their dues before May 10, then it will have to snap the power supply.
