The Delhi Police has cast its net far and wide to identify all the drug pushers involved in the trade of supplying narcotics to students in Delhi and adjoining areas.
The ongoing investigations into the death of NRI, Anmol Sarna, had revealed that lSD ((lysergic acid diethylamide), the banned hallucinogen, was easily available for a price in Delhi’s peripheral areas. The DCP of South East district
Dr P Karunakaran said that they were pursuing leads and would seek the help of Interpol in tracing the bagmen.
After court granted bail to Nehul Swaroop and Bhuvan Sharma, police said it would start investigation into who helped the arrested students in eliminating traces of the psychotropic.
“We will investigate who else are part of the ring and will find out who helped Swaroop, Sharma and Dushyant lamba in destroying evidence. We also will be seeking Interpol’s help in identifying the persons behind this supply chain,” Karunakaran added.
Investigators got a whiff of the racket after they retrieved text messages on Sarna’s cell phone. Sarna and his friends used to confab via a chat app. The chats indicate the friends were planning a rave and looking for a fix.
