A Delhi Police constable was arrested by Ghaziabad police for trying to meet his 'Bhagwan'. The constable, who described Arvind Kejiwal as his 'god', was arrested when he was trying to get into the Delhi Chief Minister's apartment in Kaushambi under Indirapuram police station on Tuesday night.
The police said around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, the constable in civil dress was found scaling the main gate of Girnar Tower where Kejriwal lives with his family by security personnel on duty.
Circle Officer (CO) IV Ran Vijay Singh said, "The constable claimed that he was going to meet his 'Bhagwan' (god). I tried to convince him not to go beyond the limit but he was adamant. He even tried to overpower the security staff to enter CM's flat. We have no option but to arrest him despite knowing him that he was the Delhi police constable."
A medical examination was conducted on the constable. He was found to be drunk, Singh added.
