Starting the campaign on the ground with her constituency, Shalimar Bagh, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inspected a girl's school at ward number 55 of the assembly constituency on Thursday and assessed the condition of drinking water, sanitation, roads conditions and tree pruning in the locality while addressing complaints regarding stray dogs. During her visit, she also interacted with local residents to understand their concerns.

Accompanied by senior officials from the PWD, DDA, MCD, DUSIB, and other departments, Gupta visited Shalimar Village Chowk, Max Road, Haiderpur Village Chowk, and other areas of the ward interacting with locals on their problems related to water, roads and sanitation and directing the officials to ensure resolution of the issues based on their feedback. She assured residents that necessary steps would be taken to resolve long-standing problems in the locality.

CM Gupta reiterated her government's commitment to reach out to every citizen of the national capital with basic facilities. "Our aim is that all basic facilities reach every citizen of Delhi properly, and for this we are continuously working on it," CM Gupta wrote in a post on X.

Following her inspection, Gupta criticised the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for neglecting these issues, saying, "People here are struggling with sewage problems, incomplete drainage systems, and poor sanitation in market areas. The previous government only advertised people's problems but failed to act. I will work to resolve these issues." During her visit to AC Block, Gupta assessed the water supply situation and held discussions with officials to ensure uninterrupted service for residents. In BW Block, she took stock of multiple civic concerns that had reportedly been pending for months, particularly issues related to roads, water supply and tree pruning.  Residents raised concerns over delayed repair work, poor waste management and water shortages. Gupta assured them that the government would take steps to expedite the improvements. Later, the Chief Minister also inspected BC East Block along with Water Board officials, assessing water supply conditions and gathering feedback from residents about water scarcity and quality issues.

Earlier, Chief Minister Gupta conducted an inspection of GTB Hospital, where she criticised the previous AAP-led administration for the alleged mismanagement and wastage of healthcare equipment. She also expressed concern over the 'poor state' of health infrastructure in Delhi.
