The Delhi BJP, Sunday onward, has started working on the tried and successfully tested Amit Shah model of winning polls, which is a detailed strategy of gaining victory by focusing on every single polling booth and polling station.

As part of the Shah’s micromanagement of the polls, the entire State leadership is busy preparing performa of every single polling booth and organising Shakti Kendra’s management. The party has appointed the local cadres as manager of each polling station, who would be responsible for the report, which would be submitted to the party leadership by the month end.

Besides, the party, on Sunday, also convened a meeting of around 100 prominent Chartered Accountants of Delhi where the professionals emphasised on the economic betterment opportunity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shah has ensured that not only the local cadres become part of documenting the demographic details of every polling booth. The entire state leadership, top to bottom, heads of all the units, cell in-charges, presidents of separate wings of party have been asked to take an active part in preparing the report.

“I have been given the task of filing demographic details of two polling stations which have 14 booths. So far I have held six meetings in four booths and have prepared report about them,” said a leader of the party’s Delhi unit.

Delhi has 11,992 polling booths, which include 11,763 main and 229 auxiliary booths. Around 630 of these have been identified as critical and hypercritical. In these, 544 booths are low critical, while 134 are highly-critical.

In its efforts to implement Shah’s vision, the State unit of the BJP organised about 550 Shakti Kendra meetings in all the 70 Assembly segments across the national Capital. These meetings were attended by state office bearers, district and mandal office bearers. These Shakti Kendra meetings are an exercise in poll preparations.

The fact that Delhi Party president Satish Upadhyay, MPs Ramesh Bidhuri, Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, Maheish Girri took part in these meetings highlights the seriousness with which the State leadership is taking the instructions of the party national president Shah.

Shah in the meeting he chaired with the State leaders early this month, asked them to be ready by the end of this month, with a comprehensive report which has polling booth wise all the vital information like number of voters residing in the polling booth, number of supporters, workers and all the demographic details of the respective polling booth. Once this task is complete the party will launch corner meetings with MPs across the city.
