They also submitted evidence of violence and other illegal activities of the AAP leaders and urged the EC to derecognise the party. The Commission has assured us they will take action as per rules,” he said.

Delhi BJP president Dr Harsh Vardhan, who was also a part of the delegation, later said the BJP has also asked the Commission to probe the ‘dubious’ foreign funding that the AAP has been receiving. “We requested the CEC and other members to probe the funding received by the AAP from abroad. In addition to this, we also apprised the EC members of the alleged links of AAP leaders with CIA and Ford Foundation that are notorious for creating anarchy and unrest in several countries of the world,” Vardhan said. The BJP delegation also sought registration of criminal cases against the AAP workers for indulging in violence.

Meanwhile, in a meeting of Delhi BJP leaders, the party passed a censure motion against the violent attack by AAP members at the latter’s party office. The party condemned the condemned the attack and termed it dangerous for the democratic set up. “The Model Code of Conduct has come into force in the country. But the AAP leaders did not care for it and they targeted the BJP

office. They conspired sending SMSs to the AAP workers in Delhi to assemble at its Hanuman Mandir Road Office and they were led by prominent leaders in the attack at the BJP office,” it said.
