After missing several deadlines, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has finally fixed November 17 as the date for the draw of lots for the 2014 mega housing scheme. Offering 25,034 flats, the draw will be held at DDA’s headquarters at Vikas Sadan at 11.30 am on Monday. The draw will also be webcast and people can watch it

Attributing the delay to technical reasons, DDA vice chairman Balvinder Kumar said, “The draw process is taking around 6-7 hours during its testing and the housing authority would like to bring down the time period. Now we hope it would be done in 3-4 hours.”
The tentative date for the draw of lots was scheduled for November 14. The housing authority has been conducting dry runs since Monday to check its preparedness. There are over 25,000 flats on offer cross various categories which include High Income Group (HIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), low Income Group (lIG) and those for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
