Homebuyers who missed out the first time get another chance. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is offering 1,648 additional Low Income Group (LIG) flats in Narela under its DDA Awas Nivesh Yojana 2026, at about Rs 14.95 lakh each after a 25 per cent discount. Online booking opens on October 29, 2026, at 12 noon.

The additional flats follow the scheme’s response, launched during Dussehra. The DDA said the flats offered earlier drew an extremely encouraging response from the public, and all of them were booked within two hours of booking opening. It said the strong demand reflects growing trust among homebuyers in its affordable housing schemes.

The new flats are being offered under the guidance of Lieutenant Governor and DDA Chairman Taranjit Singh Sandhu. The DDA said the scheme reaffirms its commitment to giving citizens quality and planned housing.

The flats are in Sectors G2 to G6, Pocket 1, Narela. Each has an estimated plinth area of 49.90 square metres, including the common area. They will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that those who book first will get the flats, so speed will matter on October 29. Bookings will be made through the DDA’s Awas portal. The booking amount is Rs 1,00,000 per flat. Applicants already registered on the portal do not need to register again. All other terms and conditions will be the same as those in the official brochure of the DDA Awas Nivesh Yojana 2026. Applicants are advised to read the brochure for detailed terms and conditions before booking. For help, they can call the DDA’s toll-free helpline.

The DDA has also described what Narela offers to residents. It said the area is developing as an emerging residential location, helped by planned urban infrastructure and better connectivity. On transport, the DDA listed the upcoming Delhi Metro station on the Rithala-Narela-Kundli corridor and the proposed Narela station of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). Road links include Urban Extension Road (UER)-I, UER-II and GT Karnal Road.

The DDA said the area is also likely to gain from an upcoming education hub in Sectors G2 to G6, where land has been allotted to several universities. Sports facilities include the Narela Sports Complex in Sector A-7 and a proposed multi-sports integrated stadium. Planned green areas and civic amenities are expected to improve the area’s long-term residential prospects, it said.
